On trumpet and flugelhorn, Jim Bradshaw once auditioned to play drums with a Glenn Miller Band and though he was offered the position he decided that his musical interest was in a different area and that his instrument of choice was trumpet.
He has been playing music since high school and his love for music has led him to play a variety of music styles and with a variety of groups.
He has performed with the Barton-Wilson Symphony Orchestra, Wilson Brass, Wilson Community British Brass Band, and with other orchestras and dance bands.
He has performed as a jazz and rock drummer and enjoys electronic music composition. Jim’s rendition of “Trumpet Voluntary” has brought many brides down the aisle.
Jim holds a B.A. in liberal arts, a Master’s in Public Administration, and a Master’s Interdisciplinary Creative Arts. Over the years, he has enjoyed getting together with his friends from NC State University to play jazz.
Jim brings a lot of talent to he band and you will love hearing him play.
