Originally from the Springfield, MA area, Dan got his start playing Clarinet with some local Polka Bands in the New England area.
He played clarinet and tenor sax for many years with several groups in the area and was featured on numerous recordings on MGM, Starr, and Rex record labels.
Since retirement and a long hiatus, he was encouraged by his wife to pick up the sax again. Dan began playing in local church groups where he played both tenor and baritone sax. Dan met Phil Mooring at one of the events where they both played and was later invited to join the Moonlight Swing Band.
Dan and his wife Wanda, who is a native North Carolinian, reside in Wilson where they attend Farmington Heights Church.
